How it works

Up and running in three steps.

No bank linking. No setup call. Drag a CSV in and the dashboard fills in.

  1. Step 1

    Upload a CSV

Drag in a Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, or a generic Date / Description / Amount export. Nothing leaves the browser.

  2. Step 2

    Forecast

CashWise parses and tags rows in your browser against a built-in merchant rule table — get a 13-week runway in seconds.

  3. Step 3

    Savings recommendations

See your current balance, runway, and savings callouts — all from the data you just imported.

A cash-flow dashboard for small business turns a bank export into the three numbers you actually look at every Monday morning — today's balance, last week's net, and the low-water mark on the next 13 weeks. The output is not a categorised budget cap; it is a forward cash visibility layer, so a shortfall surfaces before it is a missed payroll.

CashWise AI computes that visibility locally in your browser from a CSV. Upload an export from Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, or any generic Date / Description / Amount file; every row lands in an auto-tagged category (Payroll, Rent, Software/SaaS, Revenue, Fees), the KPI strip rerenders against the new data, and the runway callout sits at the top so the headline number is never more than a glance away.

The free tier stays free — no credit card, no trial countdown. When you outgrow a single device, upgrade to Pro for server-side sync across machines, scheduled CSV uploads, and ex-ante insights built on top of the same dashboard. Sign up free to bring your own CSV, or open the seeded demo to see the dashboard first.

Three months of pre-loaded transactions so you can see how the dashboard and the 13-week runway feel before importing a single row of your own data.

FAQ

Common questions about the dashboard.

What does the CashWise cash flow dashboard show me at a glance?

The dashboard shows today's balance, the last 30 days of inflows vs. outflows, a 13-week forward runway with the low-water mark called out, and the top spending categories broken down side-by-side. Everything is sourced from the CSV you imported — no third-party enrichment, no estimates pulled from somewhere we can't audit.

How does the 13-week cash runway dashboard differ from a budget?

A budget says how much you plan to spend; the runway dashboard tracks what you have already spent and what comes next so you can see when cash is going to dip below zero before it happens. It is forward-looking cash-flow visibility, not a categorised spend cap.

Does the dashboard work for a single business or multiple?

On the free tier each entity lives in its own browser (or browser profile), so the simplest setup today is one browser per business — the numbers stay isolated and you never mix balances by accident. Pro adds server-side sync and named workspaces, so you can switch between entities from one logged-in session.

Which spend categories does the dashboard auto-detect?

Payroll, Rent, Software/SaaS, Revenue, Fees, and a generic "Other" bucket that catches anything we cannot recognise. Every row is tagged the moment it is imported, and the category mix rolls up into the 30-day KPI strip and the category-by-category savings callouts.

Can I customise the categories on the dashboard?

Yes — every row carries an editable category in the dashboard table, and the edit is saved to your local dataset immediately, so the KPIs and callouts update on the next render. Custom rules such as tagging anything matching the merchant of your payment processor as Revenue are on the roadmap for Pro.

How is the dashboard refreshed — pull, push, or schedule?

Free: pull-only. Drop in a fresh CSV whenever you want a new view — the KPI strip, the 13-week projection, and the savings callouts all rerun against the new data in your browser. Pro: push via a scheduled CSV upload (e.g. nightly), and the dashboard refreshes itself without you having to remember.

Is the dashboard mobile-friendly?

Yes — the layout collapses to a single column below ~640 px, the eyebrow chips, KPI tiles, and recent-transactions list all reflow, and the runway chart remains readable as the viewport shrinks. The CSV uploader lives on the desktop view because mobile CSV export from a bank app is rarely available, but everything downstream is fully responsive.

What happens to my dashboard if I clear my browser data?

On the free tier every transaction, KPI, and runway rollup lives in localStorage, so clearing browser data wipes your dashboard — there is no copy on our servers. Pro keeps a server-side persistence copy in sync, so a fresh browser on a new machine can rehydrate the dashboard from your last sync.
